Record Sheets

Included are record sheets for each unit which allow for assessment and grading. Assessment is an important part of any curriculum.  Although some prefer not to give an actual grade for any given course, it is good to be able to asses the student’s progress whether that is with a simple check mark for completion of an assignment, or weighted points depending on how well they did.

We have included optional “Test/Reviews” for each unit.  These are designed for older students (7th – 8th grade) but some teachers may want to use these with younger students as well.  They can be treated as an overall unit review, allowing the teacher to assess how much the student has learned.  They can also be treated as a “final” unit test for older students.  It should be noted that these four reviews are designed to satisfy the requirements of older students, and that the teacher will need to use their discretion as to its appropriateness for a younger student.

This section has additional lessons with experiments and pictorial directions.  It is designed specifically with 7th and 8th grades in mind, but some teachers may want to use these with younger students as well. There is a printable logbook page for each lesson that you can print from the CD. These lessons and activities offer further challenges for the student.
